Is An Accelerator a Good Fit For You?

Accelerators are proving grounds that test perseverance, endurance, commitment, and focus. They are intense and high pressure by design, and demand a great deal of an entrepreneur’s time and energy. You get back what you put in to them.  Sometimes they require that participants relocate to the accelerator location, however due to COVID-19 many accelerators such as MassChallenge have gone completely virtual. Going virtual opens up the possibility that you can participate in accelerators anywhere in the world.

Accelerators can be focused by vertical solutions such as healthcare or finance.  Some, like IBM Alpha Zone,  are focused on technology solutions for enterprise software.

Most important accelerators will give you ACCESS that might otherwise take months or years to get. Access to experts, large corporate partners, and investors are just a few of the reasons to join an accelerator.

  • What is the length of the Accelerator, and between what dates does it run?
  • Where is the Accelerator located, and what relocation requirements might exist?
  • What kinds of outcomes does the Accelerator target, and do those align with the venture’s needs and goals?
